Day 2: Bus to Rotorua
Today we bused to Rotorura, famous for it's geothermal activity. On the way we stopped for lunch at Matamata, which is now known as Hobbiton since it is where the Hobbit was filmed. People were excited to see the "shire" and took pictures at the hobbit hole... I have no idea what people were talking about or what the hobbit hole is.
Back on the bus, we went to the Argrodome farm show. We learned about all the different types of sheep, saw a sheep get sheared, and petted the crazy adorable little lambs.
The last stop we made was to Rainbow Springs, where we got to see the national bird of New Zealand, the kiwi.
